Tiago Curioni

Tiago Curioni is an architect and product and industrial designer with a studio based in São Paulo and Porto, Portugal.

In its portfolio, it has more than 40 registered products of its own brand, in addition to signing pieces for other companies in the furniture, lighting and galleries segment.

Owner of a clean line and focused on industrial rationalism, he usually works with different materials, always looking for innovative elements that challenge his design.

What are the prizes you participated in and won?

3 times the Italian A´design Award (2016, 2017 and 2018);

1 time the American award, International Design Award (2017);

2 times nominated for the German Prize German Prize (2017 and 2018);

1 time finalist for the Canadian LAMP Award (2018) and one time finalist for the Brazilian Salão Design (2016).

Velvet Chair, Savana Armchair, Bubble Lamp.

Your favorite work?

I have a special affection for the Velvet chair, our best-selling product in Brazil and exported to the USA and Europe.

Who do you have as inspiration?

I am inspired by the work of the late Achille Castiglioni

What is your favorite design style?

I am very interested in the minimalist / oriental and rational style.

What is your favorite type of furniture?

I love designing chairs and armchairs.

How do you imagine the furniture industry in the coming years?

I believe that the industry should increasingly bet on the partnership with design studios, promoting new and innovative products.

How do you see the furniture design market in the next 5 years?

I see the consumer more and more attentive to the news, looking for information about design and local production.

Seeing in Brazil, the United States and the entire European Union bloc.
