The Carpela Shelf has its origin in the Latin Carpellu which means Carpelo – corn straw wrapping – referring to the details of the straw handcraft that appear on the shelf.
She brings this element of Northeastern culture as inspiration, making a mix with materials like metal and wood. The lathed design of the wood associated with the manual work of the straw give movement and lightness to the piece.
The Carpela Bookshelf exalts the feeling of looking to the past, to the colonial houses, to the home of our grandparents, without losing focus on contemporary design and techniques.
This fusion of generations originates unique and genuinely Brazilian pieces that always bring us a perception of affection.
